I was at a reunion a few months ago and was given one on those sticky Name Tags to wear. For some unknown reason I kept it and tossed it into a junk drawer. Well, I just found it and thought it would make another silly tutorial... *S* This is so easy and simple to make.
Start with a new canvas 250X175. Click on your Preset Shapes Tool and locate the Rounded Rectangle, use size 1, foreground color NULL and background color of your choice. For this tutorial, I am using RED (#ff0000).
In your lower right bar, watch your numbers, starting at position 3X6, click and drag down and to the right until your numbers change to 245X165, then release your mouse.
Click on your Preset Shapes Tool and locate the Rectangle, use size 1, foreground color NULL and background color WHITE (#FFFFFF).
In your lower right bar, watch your numbers, starting at position 12X40, click and drag down and to the right until your numbers change to 230X150, then release your mouse. This will save you space at the top of your Tag.
Add a NEW Raster layer. Click on your Preset Shapes Tool and locate a shape of your choosing, use size 1, foreground color NULL and background color WHITE (#FFFFFF). I am using the Star2 shape. In the top solid color bar, add your shape. Since this is on a new layer, you can use the Mover Tool to position it where you want it to be. I want a STAR on both sides, so I DUPLICATED my Star layer then clicked Image/Mirror.
Add a NEW Raster layer. Select your Text Tool and choose a nice FAT font. I used BlippoBlackEF font, but any fat font will work. Keeping your background and foreground colors WHITE, size 28, type in H-E-L-L-O. Move the text to the center then Selections/Select None.
Add a NEW Raster layer. Now you can add your name or any text that you want to your Name Tag, making sure that it will fit into the WHITE section of the Name Tag.
You can now MERGE/MERGE VISIBLE and Export as a tube for later use, or make it into a sig tag. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
