Morning Cup

I, like some that I know, cannot get motivated in the mornings without the perverbial "cup of coffee".
Thank goodness my loving hubby makes my coffee before he goes to work and sents the automatic
timer so that it is ready for me when I do get up. Gotta love him, as he does not drink coffee himself,
cannot even get him to try it on cold weekend mornings.

I made this coffee sig tag for myself in 2005, just to have something to do. Today, going through
my Sig folders, I came across it and thought it would make a nice, simple tutorial. So, here it is...
For all my coffee loving friends.

You will need a Chrome pattern. If you do not have one you can use mine.
Right click on it and save to your Patterns folder.

Plus you will need Blade Pro. You can get it here.
And Eye Candy 3.1. You can get EC3 here.

#1 Open a new image 200X200 transparent. Name this CUP and save as a .pspimage.

#2 Choose the Chrome pattern, Angle 0 Repeats 0, and make this your background color,
foreground color NULL.. Remember to save often.

#3 Using your Preset Shapes Tool, locate the rectangle.
Make a rectangle in the middle of your canvas.

#4 I found an EASY way to make the handle.... Click on your TEXT tool, Floating,
choose ARIAL, size 72. Type in the capital letter D. Position top right of rectangle.
Select NONE. Arrange/Send to Bottom. Selections/Select All. selections/Float.

#5 Effects/Plug-ins/Blade Pro and use the settings below. If you have Super Blade Pro,
or want to use another effect, feel free to use that instead. Select NONE.

#6 Add a NEW Raster layer, name this COFFEE. click on the Rectangle Shapes tool,
same settings. Change the background to a nice dark coffee color, I am using #692b2b.
Make a rectangle INSIDE the CUP section.

#7 Effects/Plug-ins/Eye Candy 3 and use the settings below.

#8 Select All. Select/Float. Effects/3D/Cutout and use the settings below.
Then Select NONE. Merge/Merge Visible.

#9 Change your background back to the Chrome pattern. Click on the Preset Shapes and
locate Ellipse, Creat as Vector CHECKED.Make an OVAL across the base of the cup.
Click on the PEN Tool. Hold down the CONTROL key and ADD two Nodes (see image below).
Then click on the LEFT Node and bring it up almost even with the top center Node.
Repeat this with the RIGHT Node.

#10 Click on the Vector layer and Convert to Raster. Name this SAUCER. Click on
the Deform tool and click on the top center Node and pull it down, almost to
the bottom of the cup. See image below.

#11 Selections/Select All. Select/Float. Apply the Blade Pro, same settings as before.
Selections/modify/Contract by 5. Flood Fill with your coffee brown color.

#12 Still keeping SELECTED, apply the Eye Candy. I changed the following three
settings--- BEVEL 8, Flaw Spacing 21, and Refraction 9. Selections/Float.
Apply the CUTOUT changing the Blur to 15. Select NONE.

#13 Add a NEW layer and click on the TEXT tool and using the settings below,
type in your text. I kept the Chrome for my text. Select NONE.

#14 You can type what ever words you want on your cup. You can put each word on
it's own layer so that you can arrange them to fit. Merge/Merge Visible.

#15 Now you can Export as a tube.
