Now that we have the mitten completed,
let's make the kitty that goes into it.
HIDE (RED X) the mitten layer.
#1 -- Add a NEW Raster layer, name this HEAD
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Locate the folder where you saved the selections.
Choose 4HEAD .... Click LOAD
#2 -- I am partial to grey kittens, so I will be using
#808080. Flood Fill with color and keep selected.
#3 -- Effects/Plug-ins/Eye Candy 3.1/Jiggle
and use the settings below.
#4 -- KEEP Selected. Selections/Float. Add a NEW
Raster layer. Effects/3D/cutout and use these settings---
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 75, Blur 20 and BLACK.
Repeat the cutout changing the Vertical & Horizontal to
-2 (MINUS 2). Select NONE.
Making sure the cutout layer is highlighted,
Merge/Merge Down.
#5 -- Effects/3D/Drop Shadow and use the settings below.
#6 -- Add a NEW Raster layer. Name this ARM.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose 5ARM .... Click LOAD. Flood Fill with color.
#7 -- Effects/Plug-ins/Eye Candy 3.1/Jiggle
and use the settings above, CHANGING the WARP AMOUNT to 10.
#8 -- Selections/Float. Add a NEW Raster layer.
Apply the CUTOUT using the Vertical & Horizontal at 2.
Do NOT repeat. Select NONE.
#9 -- Making sure the cutout layer is highlighted,
Merge/Merge Down.
#10 -- Apply the SAME Drop Shadow. Click on the
ARM layer and drag it BELOW the HEAD layer.
#11 -- Click on the HEAD layer. Add a NEW
Raster layer.
Name this PAWS.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose 6PAWS .... Click LOAD. Flood Fill with color.
#12 -- Effects/Plug-ins/Eye Candy 3.1/Jiggle
and use the settings above, CHANGING the
WARP AMOUNT to 10.
#13 -- Selections/Float. Add a NEW Raster layer.
Apply the CUTOUT using the Vertical & Horizontal at 2.
Do NOT repeat. Select NONE.
#14 -- Making sure the cutout layer is highlighted,
Merge/Merge Down.
#15 -- Apply the Drop Shadow with the SAME settings as above.
#16 -- REPEAT steps 6, 7, 8 and 9 for the 10EARS-OUTSIDE.
#17 -- REPEAT steps 6, 7, 8 and 9 for the 11EARS-INSIDE.
Flood Fill with a soft pink, I used #f4d8cd. For the CUTOUT,
CHANGE the Vertical & Horizontal to 0 and the Blur to 15.
#18 -- Add a NEW Raster layer. Name this EYE SHADOW.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose 7EYE SHADOW .... Click LOAD.
Flood Fill with WHITE.
#19 -- Effects/Plug-ins/Eye Candy 3.1/Jiggle and use
the settings above, CHANGING the WARP AMOUNT to 10.
#20 -- Selections/Float. Add a NEW Raster layer.
Apply the CUTOUT using the Vertical & Horizontal at 2.
Do NOT repeat. Select NONE.
#21 -- Making sure the cutout layer is highlighted,
Merge/Merge Down.
#22 -- Add a NEW Raster layer. Name this EYE1.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose 8EYE OUTSIDE .... Click LOAD. Flood Fill with color,
I am using a sofe blue, #1482fa. Select NONE.
#23 -- Add a NEW Raster layer. Name this EYE2.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose 9EYE INSIDE .... Click LOAD. Flood Fill with BLACK.
Select NONE. Change the foreground to WHITE and using
the Paintbrush, size 4, add a white DOT to each EYE.
#24 -- Add a NEW Raster layer. Name this NOSE.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose 12NOSE .... Click LOAD. You will need to ZOOM
in
so that you can see to FILL. Flood Fill with BLACK.
Select NONE. Flood Fill the center of the nose with BLACK.
#25 -- Add a NEW Raster layer. Name this WHISKERS.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose 13WHISKERS .... Click LOAD. You will need to
ZOOM in
so that you can see to FILL. Flood Fill with BLACK.
Select NONE. Apply a DROP SHADOW using the settings below.
#26 -- Merge/Merge Visible. UNhide the mitten layer.
Apply a Drop Shadow. Here is what you have now.......
