Christmas stockings are not the only things that can hold
neat little gifties. At least IMHO. I was knitting a pouch
for a project and then got this idea--- wouldn't it be cute
to make a pouch big enough to hold a kitten or a puppy. Well,
that idea is easier said than done, but in PSP it would be a
snap.
Thus, another great idea for, yet another, tutorial....LOL
What you will need......
You will need Eye Candy 3.1 for this tutorial.
You can get it HERE.
My kitten-N-mitten selection file. Click HERE.
Plus my knit and purl tiles below. These are actually
sections of my own knitting. Just right click on them
and save to a folder of your choice.
NOTE: Go to C:My Documents/My PSP Files/Selections.
There I created a "sub-folder" within the "Selections" folder called
"kitten-N-mitten".I prefer to do this rather than load PSP with extra
files(which tend to slow down the program). Then I will point to
this
folder in FILE/PREFERANCES/FILE LOCATIONS.
Might I suggest you do the same *S*
#1 -- Open a NEW image 350X600, transparent background.
This is the size you will work with, you can crop and resize
at the end. Open the knit-tile and the purl-tile and minimize them.
#2 -- Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Locate the folder where you saved the selections.
Choose MITTEN .... Click LOAD
#3 -- Now you will have Marching Ants on your canvas.
(I am croping the Screen Shots to save on loading time.)
#4 -- Click on your foreground material box and click
on Pattern. Locate the knit-tile image, angle 0 and scale 100.
Flood Fill the MITTEN. Select NONE.
#5 -- Add a NEW Raster layer.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose THUMB .... Click LOAD
#6 -- Click on your foreground material box and click
on Pattern. Keeping the knit-tile, CHANGE the angle to 45.
Flood Fill the THUMB. KEEP selected.
#7 -- Effects/3D/Drop Shadow and use these settings;
Vertical & Horizontal 0, Opacity 50, Blur 10
and color BLACK (#000000).
Select NONE.
#8 -- Add a NEW Raster layer.
Selections/Load-Save Selections/Load Selection from Disk
Choose CUFF .... Click LOAD
#9 -- Click on your foreground material box and click
on Pattern. Locate the purl-tile, CHANGE the angle to 0,
scale 100. Flood Fill the CUFF. KEEP selected.
#10 -- Effects/3D/Drop Shadow and use the SAME settings
as above. Select NONE.
#11 -- Merge/Merge Visible.
Here is what you have so far.......
Now you can get a cup of coffee, relax and breathe.
When you are ready continue to
