I have been spinning my own wool for 3 years now. This gave me an idea to make a Sheep tutorial. I thought of hand-drawn, pixel, clip-art and vectors. This tutorial will be done using vectors. It is quite easy to do and I hope you will enjoy it. #1 Open a NEW image 200X200. Make your foreground color BLACK and your background color NULL. #2 Click on your Preset Shapes Tool and locate the Elipse. Create as vector CHECKED and line width 2. Make an oval about 1/4 of your canvas.
#3 Right click on your Vector layer and Convert to Raster Laye, name this BODY. Click the curved arrow by your foreground & background boxes and that will now put your BLACK in the background position.
#4 Again, using your Preset Shapes Tool, keeping it with Elipse and the same settings, make a smaller oval to the left of your BODY, this will give you a solid black oval.
#5 Click on your Pen Tool. You might need to ZOOM in for this step (I zoomed to 300%). Holding down the CONTROL key, and hovering your mouse over the line til you see the word ADD, add four nodes to the LEFT of the top node and four more to the RIGHT of the top node. ADD a node about half-way between the center left node and the bottom node. Do the same on the right side. Now pull the top nodes to form EARS and push in the lower nodes slightly to form "jaw lines". Look at my image below for help. When you are done, Convert to Raster Layer and name this HEAD.
#6 Now, IMHO, I want it to look more roundish like a sheeps head. So, a few minor adjustments are needed. With the HEAD layer still highlighted, click on the Deform Tool. Click on the BOTTOM CENTER node and push it up slightly until you get a smaller, rounded looking head.
#7 Add a NEW Raster layer and name it LEGS. Using the Paintbrush, size 5, foreground color BLACK, draw a line down and slightly curved to the left. This will make the leg, repeat this three more times.
#8 Highlight the BODY layer. With the Magic Wand, Tolerance 109, click INSIDE the body. Go to Selections/Modify/Expand by 1. Add a NEW raster layer and flood fill this with WHITE. Click your Paintbrush and in the drop down selections, choose Marble2. Change your foreground color to a light grey (I used #a0a0a0). Add a NEW raster layer and click a few times to add grey puffs on the BODY area. Then go to Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur and use the Radius of 2 to soften the grey. Select None.
#7 For final touch-ups, you can use the Deform Tool to tilt the head and position it where you like. You can add a NEW raster layer and add eyes ever how you want them to look. When you are happy with your sheep, Merge/Merge Visible. Now you can crop it and export as a tube.
