Pixel StockingHere is an easy pixel stocking. #1 Open a NEW image 100X100. ZOOM in to about 400% or 500%, which ever is easier for you to be able to see the pixels as you place them on your canvas. #2 Click on your Paintbrush Tool, use size 1. I will be making a red stocking, set your foreground color to #760806, and your background color to #9c211e. Follow the outline below and outline the STOCKING part using the dark red.
#3 With the Magic Wand, Tolerance 0, BOTH Contiuous and Anti-alias CHECKED, click inside the stocking area. Flood Fill with the background red. KEEP selected.
#4 Add a NEW Raster layer. Click on the AIRBRUSH Tool and using the settings below. Using the foreground color, brush around the edge of the stocking.
#5 Adjust/Blur/Guassian Blur with Radius 2. Select None.
#6 You should have two layers; the red stocking and the blur; if you are using a background color (so that you can see your outline), HIDE that layer. Merge/Merge Visible. #7 Change your foreground color to grey #a0a0a0 and your background color to WHITE. With your paintbrush still at size 1, outline the CUFF with the grey. #8 With the Magic Wand, click inside the CUFF and Flood Fill with White. Selections/Float. Effects/3D/Cutout and use the settings below.
#9 Select NONE. This is what you should have now.
#10 Now you can Export as a tube so that you will have it for later use. Back to TutorialsI hope you enjoyed this tutorial. 2006 All Rights Reserved PJ Keplinger |
