I was first introduced to the Keeshond breed in late 2006, when I received Keeshond fur for my spinning projects, from a groomer in California. After intensive discussions with my husband, we decided to check into owning a Keeshound. After my husband talked with Jeannine, a co-worker, and I talked with Chris, the groomer; both raise and breed Keeshounden, we found they were housemates, so this made discussions easier. I was on my way to owning a lovely Keeshond.

My first Kees, Nikki (Vanderblom White Diamonds), a daughter of Ch. Windrift's Wind Song "Windy" and Ch. Windrift's Mutual Funds "Cash", 2005 KCA Top Keeshond, 2006 and 2007 Westminster multiple Specialty BOBs; and a great-granddaughter of Ch. Windrift's Summertime Blues "Badger"; BOB at Westminster Kennel Club show 3 years in a row),is an energetic, loving ball of fur and a joy to have around. Chris gave me Nikki on a co-ownership, and has been most willing to share her knowledge of the breed with me. I'm greatly indebted to Chris and Jeannine for their help with training tips and especially for my "little black/cream fur ball", Nikki.
