Kingdom A&S Competition
"A Decorated Bag or Pouch"

WINNING pouch

This project served two purposes; 1) learning a new pouch technique
and 2) a gift for a dear friend, Mairsil inghean Aindriasa.
I used all period materials for this project and sewed all the seams by hand.
the seams were done using backstitching in silk (lining) and linen (pouch).
The vines & trefoils are done in split stitch using Patarnayan 100% wool yarn.
The device is done in the Intarsia method (the design is cut out of the
fabric and a contrasting piece of fabric inserted into the gap)
