Their Highness's (of Cynagua) asked Mistress Anastasia if she could get 100 black Cynaguan swans embroidered before the Cynagua Mists War (Nov. 2009), as they would like them made into favors for the fighters. To help out in this endeavor, I offered to embroider 5 of the swans.

I did a couple in chain stitch but switched to doing the rest in satin stitch. They are outlined in stem stitching.

I really enjoy doing different projects, but this time I was really relieved to get them completed. After the third one, I started having nightmares of being chased by a flock of black swans. (If you have ever been bitten by a goose or swan, you will know why this is so scary.)
